Ted Lasso Season Two Red Carpet Interviews [Exclusive]

Ted Lasso with Jason Sudeikis, Cristo Fernandez, and Brandon Hunt

Ted Lasso is one of the most feel-good streaming series that premiered in the middle of the pandemic on Apple TV+. The series came in a moment of time that audiences needed something uplifting, funny, and puts a smile on their faces episode after episode.

It’s no surprise that Apple TV+ forged ahead with season two starring Jason Sudeikis as a the folksy American football coach hired to lead a British soccer team without knowing the sport or culture.

Here’s the official synopsis for Ted Lasso:

Jason Sudeikis is Ted Lasso, an American football coach hired to manage a British soccer team—despite having no experience. But what he lacks in knowledge, he makes up for with optimism, underdog determination—and biscuits. The widely acclaimed series also stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, and Nick Mohammed. Sarah Niles joins the cast this season as Sharon, a sports psychologist who has been brought in to work with AFC Richmond.

Fresh from twenty Emmy nominations for comedy series (yes, twenty!), the cast and crew descended to an outdoor event celebrating a long blue carpet event and premiere for invited guests, critics, and fans at West Hollywood’s Pacific Design Center rooftop.

Most of the cast were in attendance, including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift, Moe Jeudy-Lamour, Cristo Fernandez, and Brendan Hunt. Some of the invited guests included Apple CEO Tim Cook, actress Sophia Bush, singer Keisha, comedian Patton Oswalt, former Olympians Alex Shibutani and Maia Sibutani, actress Charlotte Lawrence, actor Charles Melton, comedienne Nikki Glaser, television personality Dani Fernandez, comedian Fortune Feimster, and numerous soccer athletes.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta and Nancy Tapia were on the blue carpet interviewing some of the cast members and guests at the event.

Season two of Ted Lasso returns on Apple TV+ on Friday, July 23. The 12-episode second season premieres with one episode, followed by new episode weekly on Fridays.
