Terrence Howard Announces Retirement From Acting In Baffling Interview

I love me some Terrence Howard. Even now, as great as Don Cheadle is, I consider it a huge disappointment we never got to see him don the War Machine armor in the films, and think he would have ultimately made a great Rhodey in the long run. Plus, while I can’t say I’ve seen much of Empire, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the musical drama.

Given we live in an age with actors are looking to turn to other passions later in life, it came no surprise to me that he was looking to retire following the conclusion of Empire in the upcoming season, but he’s also…well…I mean…just look.

At the Emmys last night, he gave a confounding interview.

“I’ve spent 37 years pretending to be people, so that people can pretend to watch and enjoy what I’m doing, when I’ve made some discoveries in my own personal life – with the science – that Pythagoras was searching for. I’ve opened up the flower of life properly and found the real wave conjugations that we’ve been looking for for 10,000 years. Why would I continue walking on water for tips, when I’ve got an entire generation to teach a whole new world.”

So…it’s a bit unclear what exactly he’s talking about, but Terrence Howard looks like he’s going to be giving up acting to pursue his more scientific interests. He’s very vague about the details, though I don’t think it helps he’s mostly spouting nonsense. I mean, look at this.

“Well let me put it this way. All energy in the universe is expressed in motion; all motion is expressed in waves; all waves are curved, so where does the straight lines come from to make the Platonic solids? There are no straight lines. So when I took the flower of life and opened it properly, I found whole new wave conjugations that expose the in-between spaces that’s… it’s the thing that holds us all together…I’m sharing that on Tuesday when I receive my star, I’m going to be able to prove that gravity is only an effect and not a force. I’m putting something on YouTube where I will build the Planet Saturn without gravity, and build the Milky Way Galaxy without gravity.”

This reminds me of back in 2015 when he briefly hit headlines when he created his own math called Terryology. I thought that may have been a one-off weird moment, but if we are to believe him, there may be more to come in the future.
