Marvel star Teyonah Parris says she’s not in Doomsday and that she doesn’t know when we will see Monica Rambeau again. I’m not sure whether to believe her or not, and I don’t want to get into any of the spoiler leaks that have dropped for this film. However, for now, I’ve heard no hints, rumors (or anything else) to indicate Monica Rambeau appears in Avengers: Doomsday.

Nor, by the way are there any hints that her on screen mother Maria (Lashana Lynch) is in Doomsday either. I think I can speak for most Marvel fans that have watched all the preceding films, that this is odd to say the least. When we last saw Monica in The Marvels she had entered into the X-Men universe and found an alt-version of her mother who got he Captain Marvel powers instead of Carol.

So where are she and Maria by the time of Doomsday when that X-Men universe comes back?

Here is what Parris herself had to say when she spoke with Deadline.

“Um, I miss Monica as much as you guys do, um, I wish her well and I’m excited to see what they do next.”

Now of course actors lie, and are actively asked to lie about Marvel movies. Again though, I have seen a few things and of what I have seen, and all the insiders I follow, none are claiming that the Rambeau’s show up in Doomsday.

This could be a case of The Marvels flopping that caused Marvel to get away from the three leads of that film for now. No comment on the other two leads on where they will show up.

It is possible Monica could return in Secret Wars, but we know so little about that film right now. It’s not qute going to excite fans like rumors of Gosling’s Ghost Rider making his debut or Holland’s Spider-Man sharing more scenes with Garfield and Maguire, alongside the likes of Jackman’s Wolverine.
