The 2018 Oscars Get An Honest Trailer

That’s right. The Oscars haven’t even hit yet, and Screen Junkies is already working to take the piss out of this year’s ceremony in a brand-new honest trailer. However, rather than poke fun at the awards show itself, they’ll be going down the line of all this year’s nine nominations.

The films being covered this year are Darkest Hour, The Shape of Water, Call Me By Your Name, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Phantom Thread, Lady Bird, Dunkirk, The Post, Get Out.

Some of the choice jokes here revolve around the creepiness of the romances in The Shape of Water and Call Me By Your Name, and The Post being tailor-made to win at the Oscars this year (though not by our calculations).

But Honest Trailers doesn’t end there. They go on to call fanboys out on all the comic book movies they feel were snubbed at this year’s Oscars. These films include Logan, Thor: Ragnarok, Wonder Woman, the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Guardians (not, not Guardians of the Galaxy — the Russian version).

How do you feel about Screen Junkies calling out some of these Oscar contenders, and which movie do you think is set to win Best Picture this year? Let us know your thoughts down below!
