The Acolyte To Shoot May-November In The U.S. | Barside Buzz

According to the ever reliable Production Weekly latest, we now know The Acolyte to shoot May-Nov and it will be in the U.S. also, not Pinewood Studios. The Leslye Headland led Star Wars Disney+ show is certainly one of the most intriguing to fans. The show is seemingly set further back than any live-action Star Wars project before. Current estimates are that this show will take place in the period between the High Republic and the Fall of the Republic, which begins just before The Phantom Menace.

Rumors are this show will take place around 70-100 years prior to the events of TPM. And whilst we do not know for certain, vague rumors, as well as the logo you can see above, have led fans to think this show will deal primarily with the Dark Side and potentially the Sith. However, until more details emerge it’s hard to say for sure.

There was a rumor recently (begun by DiscussingFilm) that The Acolyte would film this February in Pinewood. Talking to a few insiders about this we wondered whether that was at the point the case and things got shifted around? LRM already had confirmed that The Acolyte would not shoot in Pinewood, at least, not that quick. Now we have some confirmation that the show will actually shoot in the U.S. in that May-Nov window. That likely means a release is planned sometime in 2023, but when I would not bet on it just yet.
