The Batman has seemingly already started production. At this point, we’ve already seen a ton of set photos from the United Kingdom showing off Bruce Wayne riding a motorcycle, among other things. We’ve even seen some images of Colin Farrell sporting some interesting hair — which he insists are not a part of the Penguin’s overall look. So, you’d expect they’d be pretty far along, right?
Apparently not? Farrell spoke recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and he gave an odd update at what stage of the process they’re on.
“I’m in the process of talking to Matt Reeves, who’s the director, who wrote the script, and wrote a really beautiful, dark, moving script, really gorgeous,” Farrell said to Jimmy Kimmel. “It’s all very hush hush. But it’s a really beautiful script that he wrote and he has a real love for it, Matt. So, we’re in the process of finishing designing the aesthetic of the character.”

Does that mean that the film is both in production and they’re still in the process of figuring out the Penguin’s overall look? I guess it wouldn’t be the first time that happened, but it does sound like we’re getting some opposing bits of information here.
Either way, I’m happy to know Farrell really enjoys the script, as that is the most important part of the whole equation, in my opinion? Let us know your own thoughts down below!
