The more I hear about The Batman the more excited I get. I enjoy the dark, gritty tone in the comics like works in DC’s Black Label. Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s Long-Halloween and Dark Victory are some of my favorite Batman stories. The most recent trailer showcases the portrayals of Pattinson’s early Batman. I am particularly enjoying the direction Zoe Kravitz looks to be taking Catwoman and Paul Dano’s take on The Riddler. While we are getting closer to the premiere, and official clip from The Batman has been released.

The Batman official clip is an extension from some of what we see in earlier trailers. Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne is at a funeral when the SUV comes crashing through the crowd. What is awesome about the official clip is how while everyone is overcome with fear, Bruce is not. He is surveying the environment to then find the silhouette figure of Dano’s Riddler watching the mayhem he creates.
The only two who are calm in the chaos is Bruce and The Riddler, which is awesome to see. In Batman v Superman, the part where Affleck’s Bruce Wayne runs into the destruction while everyone else is running out epitomizes the character. I am glad to see more of those elements here. The official clip also shows Dano’s Riddler to be very Saw-esque as previously mentioned by many.

The official clip is only a little under three minutes. However, it does a good job showing fans the characterization of our protagonist and antagonist.
