According to the very reliable Production Weekly, The Batman: Part II is set to film this November and will once again be in the U.K. Production is set to commence at WB stages at Leavesden studios and presumably there will also be some location shooting. The Batman filmed a lot in my local City of Glasgow, which is how they got Gotham to look rundown, wet and grey. Yes, it’s fun all the time living in sunny Scotland, however it looks a good substitute for Gotham City, so all is forgiven.
We’ve known The Batman was getting a sequel from creator Matt Reeves since the first film released. Although it was only recently the title was announced as being The Batman: Part II. We also got a release date of October 3rd, 2025. As you’d guess, Robert Pattinson will be back as Bats/Bruce and Serkis as Alfred. However outside of the two you (have to have) we have no idea if any of the other cast members will return in Part II? Though, one would assume Jeffrey Wright will return as Gordon. The Penguin would seem to make sense. I mean we are getting a Penguin series coming to HBO which will continue the story as it concluded in The Batman. However who knows? Perhaps the story for The Batman: Part II will go in another direction?
We also have Barry Keoghan’s version of the Joker to potentially look forward to, maybe. Keoghan’s Joker was only very briefly seen in The Batman, so for now we just have no idea?

In terms of comic book inspirations it seems checking out ‘No Man’s Land’ would be the best research you can do. We’ve heard rumors of that comic being a template. It certainly fits with the flooding disaster that occurred in the finale of The Batman.
Personally, I’m excited and can’t wait to see the sequel. I really enjoyed The Batman. However I’ll admit I didn’t enjoy it as much as The Dark Knight Trilogy. A hell of a lot more than the Snyderverse movies. That statement alone will put me on a Synderbot hit list somewhere. However it’s okay because they all live in the same ward together in the asylum anyway, so they can’t get to me.
