Do you sometimes look at someone like Matthew McConaughey in those Lincoln commercials and wish he would show up on the screen as a complete nobody. As someone who simply couldn’t afford to act so douchey on the big screen? Yeah, I’m super insecure in myself too, but if you’re still feeling that way, then you may need not look any further than his latest film, The Beach Bum.

In the trailer for the new comedy, we get to see him literally become some laid-back beach hippie. The dude looks like he spent the entire shoot high and unbathed, and it looks to be one entertaining ride — one that includes the likes of Isla Fisher, Snoop Dogg, Jonah Hill, and Zac Efron. I have to say, I’m intrigued, and as aimless as it looks, it looks like it can be an entertaining ride nonetheless.

“THE BEACH BUM follows the outrageous misadventures of Moondog (Matthew McConaughey), a rebellious burnout who only knows how to live life by his own rules. Complete with an all-star cast including Snoop Dogg, Isla Fisher, Zac Efron, Jimmy Buffett, Martin Lawrence and Jonah Hill, THE BEACH BUM is the wildly original and subversive new comedy from writer/director Harmony Korine (Spring Breakers).”
