As far as we know The Book of Boba Fett has just finished principal photography and moved into post-production. Now we have learned through DiscussingFilm that the VFX on The Book of Boba Fett will be handled by Scott Fisher. Interestingly Fisher literally just won an Oscar for his work on Tenet, so the VFX are in good hands. Check out this social media post from the outlet below.
Scott Fisher, who just won Best VFX at the #Oscars for his work on ‘Tenet’ will next work on the VFX for ‘THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT’.

The Book of Boba Fett remains a little bit of a mystery as far as what to expect. For all we know the show could be anything from 3 to 8 episodes long. As for plot details, all I can give you is guess work and rumors. So far the amount of leaks for this show have been minimal. No set photo’s, no leaked casting other than a rumor Pascal will show up, and no plot details other than a rumor that a rival gangster called ‘Hammerhead’ may appear in an episode. There is even a surprising lack of 4Chan ‘leaked’ plot summaries.
Given there are 10 a day for Spider-Man: No Way Home, I’m disappointed less people have tried to sell their fanfiction for The Book of Boba Fett. Ok, I’m not disappointed it’s frankly a breath of fresh air. I have to read all that drivel just to make sure you know. However, the reason is that there is so little to go on, that any fan fiction would need to be dreamed up from scratch. What most of the fakers do is wait till some tangible rumors appear and then use those in their made up stories to make them sound legit. No, I don’t know why people do this, maybe it’s fun for them to fake people out if they can get away with it?

So far we have had far more information for the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor, both further behind TBOBF in terms of schedule. However, LRM‘s own Shockey appeared last weekend on The Cantina Podcast with myself and co-host Kyle Malone and he did give us a plausible reason for this. Shockey has heard that Lucasfilm are being more open about Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi and more secretive this time about about all the MandoVerse content, of which TBOBF is a part. Shockey has heard that Lucasfilm were disappointed with the amount of leaks that came around for The Mandalorian Season 2. On Season 2 we knew almost all the guest players before hand, other than Luke Skywalker in the finale.
The Book of Boba Fett will hit Disney+ sometime around December. Right now, that remains the official line and there’s no rumors of any delays. That should give Fisher ample time to work his wizardry on the VFX of The Book of Boba Fett. What do you think of this news, are you happy to have an Oscar winner on visuals for this show? What’s your fan fiction, er, I mean leaked plot details from your Uncle’s friends, maid’s nephew?
