Child trafficking is one of the concerning issues in the United States today. For a child, it is a terrifying aspect that can ever occur to a person. In The Boy Behind the Door, Bobby (Lonnie Chavis) decides to save his best friend Kevin (Ezra Dewey) from their captors.

The film also stars Kristin Bauer van Straten and Micah Hauptman. David Charbonier and Justin Powell directed and wrote the movie.

In The Boy Behind the Door, a night of unimaginable terror awaits twelve-year-old Bobby and his best friend, Kevin, when they are abducted on their way home from school Managing to escape his confines, Bobby navigates the dark halls, praying his presence goes unnoticed as he avoids his captor at every turn. Even worse is the arrival of another stranger, whose mysterious arrangement with the kidnapper spells certain doom for Kevin. With no means of calling for help and miles of dark country in every direction, Bobby embarks on a rescue mission, determined to get himself and Kevin out alive or die trying.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta talked with Ezra Dewey on his first feature role in a thriller/horror movie. He talked about his audition for the horror film The Djinn, in which he also starred and let to this film. Also, he discussed the production set, the house, the mindset, and how Kristin Bauer van Straten was the perfect antagonist.

Ezra Dewey made his film debut in 2015’s Everything Before Us. He appeared in a few television series including Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, and Criminal Minds. His first lead role was as Dylan Jacobs in the horror film The Djinn.
