The Boys Season 2 Is Getting Review-Bombed For This Dumb Reason

The Boys Season 2 is getting review-bombed.

If you’re in the United Kingdom and you’re a fan of The Boys, you may be a bit shocked to find its star rating to be sub-par. As of this writing, it has three out of five stars, and in Amazon terms, that’s bad. And of the 39 reviews, 46% of them are one-star reviews. Needless to say, this is less than an ideal launch fo the critically-acclaimed series. This would be especially shocking since Season 2 has received a ton of positive buzz from critics.

So, what’s the deal here? Is this another The Last Jedi situation where fans and critics simply don’t agree? Surprisingly, not at all. In fact, the show seems to be doing so good that it’s almost prompting these bad reviews. If you actually take a look at what fans are saying, it has more to do with the release schedule than the show. Check out some choice reviews below!

As you can see, The Boys’ biggest crime isn’t one of quality, but one of its release schedule. These guys likely missed the memo that the antihero series would only release three episodes on day one followed by a weekly release. Honestly, this is a great strategy, in my opinion, as it gives fans enough content to latch onto, but also gives fans the ability to have week-to-week speculation and conversation.

This, sadly, is a case of fans having a bad case of entitlement syndrome. It’s a byproduct of the instant-gratification world we live in these days, and I think a lot of these need to chill. At the end of the day, their complaints against Amazon can result in fans seeing the rating for the season and opting out. If they opt out, it may get fewer streams and Amazon may cancel it altogether.

But, that’s just my opinion. How do you feel about The Boys Season 2 getting review-bombed for all the wrong reasons? Sound off down below!
