Fashion’s most intimidating editor is ready to rule the runway once again from the comfort of viewers’ homes.
20th Century Studios has announced that The Devil Wears Prada 2 will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu on July 29, giving fans another opportunity to revisit the highly anticipated sequel that became one of the year’s biggest theatrical hits. The film will also arrive on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, on June 30, followed by 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray releases on July 28.
The sequel reunites franchise stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci nearly two decades after the original 2006 film became a cultural phenomenon. Directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna, the new chapter brings audiences back into the glamorous and cutthroat world of fashion publishing.

Following its theatrical debut in May, The Devil Wears Prada 2 quickly became a box office sensation, earning more than $676 million worldwide. The success pushed the franchise past the $1 billion mark globally.
The new film follows Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), who returns to Runway Magazine as its features editor. Her professional homecoming places her once again in the orbit of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), whose influence and power are being challenged as the fashion industry continues to evolve in the digital age. As familiar faces and new personalities enter the picture, Andy finds herself navigating a changing industry while confronting the complicated relationships that defined her early career.
Fashion remains front and center throughout the sequel, with costumes and designs from some of the world’s most recognizable luxury brands, including Dior, Versace, Armani, Givenchy, Cartier, Tiffany, Dolce & Gabbana, and Fendi. The film also features celebrity appearances and notable figures from both the fashion and music industries.

Home viewers will have access to an extensive lineup of bonus content when the film arrives digitally and on Blu-ray. Among the featured extras is Level Up: Updating the Icons, a retrospective that explores the enduring impact of the original film while showcasing how its characters have evolved for the sequel.
Another featurette, Inside the Fashion Closet, takes viewers behind the scenes with costume designer Molly Rogers as she discusses crafting the signature looks for Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel. Fans can also travel behind the scenes of the production’s Italian filming locations in Front-Row Access: Shooting in Italy, which highlights the movie’s connection to Milan Fashion Week and the collaboration with major fashion houses.
Music also takes center stage with the inclusion of the music video for “Runway,” performed by Lady Gaga and Doechii, while a gag reel offers a collection of bloopers and outtakes from the cast. Additionally, viewers can watch the film with an audio commentary track featuring director David Frankel, screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, and costume designer Molly Rogers.
For longtime fans looking to revisit the franchise’s beginnings, a special The Devil Wears Prada 2-Movie Collection will also be available, bundling the original 2006 hit with its fashionable new sequel.
Nearly twenty years after Miranda Priestly first uttered her iconic critiques, The Devil Wears Prada 2 proves that style never goes out of fashion.
