For weeks we were all tranced with WandaVision. Upon its conclusion we were all ready for Marvel’s next amazing piece of work. The Falcon and The Winter Solider then flies into our lives. It did not disappoint! While the future of the Marvel Universe is being established in the show, it also bring us many questions. While we look forward to answers we also look forward to Easter Eggs and character appearances. Malcolm Spellman is the head writer and Executive Producer of the show. A character he is eager to revamp in the series is Deathlok!
Fans of the comics will know Deathlok as the deceased human who is rejuvenated with cybernetic Deathlok technology. This will not be the character’s first time on the screen. Others may remember him from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. J. August Richards plays the character of Mike Peterson a.k.a Deathlok. On the show, Project Centipede gives Peters a drug enhancing his abilities. Later Hydra turns him into the cyborg assassin many of us know. From there S.H.I.E.L.D. work to bring him back to the good side.
Now even with the character already a part of the Marvel Universe it appears that Spellman wants to go in a different direction. When asked about Deathlok from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Spellman replies:
“Yeah. Yeah. Not that Deathlok. A different Deathlok.”
He also adds that it would have to be right. This is good because even though he wants the character it also appears it will not be forced.
