When we last saw The Flash, in “Attack on Gorilla City,” he was manipulated into defeating Solovar by Gorilla Grodd, so that Grodd could become the ruler of the gorillas of Earth-2. The Flash, using a technique he learned from the Reverse-Flash was successful and it gave Grodd the leadership he needed to assume the role. This was a rescue mission, and Barry was able to escape back to Earth-1 with Grodd’s prisoners in tow.
This seemed to be a happy ending for all, as Grodd sat on his throne looking much more like his comic counterpart, in full armor, until the camera panned down and we see that he has captured Gypsy, the Earth-19 counterpart of Earth-1’s Vibe (Cisco). Grodd is planning to now use her to go back to Earth-1 to enact revenge, as she has the ability to create interdimensional portals, and we will have to wait until Tuesday to see the havoc Grodd will cause in the episode titled, “Attack on Central City.”
To defeat Grodd, The Flash will need all the help he can get, and it appears a new speedster will be joining the show to help. The Accelerated Man from Earth-19 (Gotham by Gaslight world) is coming, and he has all the abilities of The Flash, with an even greater tie to the Speedforce. But, is he really coming to help? Or is he coming for Gypsy to bring her to her death? Remember, Gypsy came for H.R. because he broke the Earth-19 rules of not allowing travel through the multiverse. Perhaps she is a fugitive as well. The Accelerated Man has a very cool look and was created by the legendary Grant Morrison and Italian artist Giuseppe Camuncoli.

There has also been a rumor floating around that this will be Jesse Quick’s last episode, as she will perish at the hands of Grodd. Read my next article to find out the truth, where I lay out the synopses for the next 2 weeks of several CW shows. The synopsis for “The Attack On Central City” reads as follows below, and I have made a cool gallery of pics from the episode. Enjoy!
THE EPIC CONCLUSION TO THE TWO-PART BATTLE WITH GRODD –When Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) and his army of gorillas bring the battle to Earth-1, The Flash (Grant Gustin) and team must find a way to stop them before they destroy Central City.
