I want to start by promising I won’t spoil it for you. The Star Wars and The Simpsons crossover short film was released today in honor of May 4, called Maggie Simpson inThe Force Awakens From its Nap. The short film is only a little over 3 and a half minutes long.

The synopsis for the Disney+ short film is:

In a daycare far, far away… but still in Springfield, Maggie is on an epic quest for her stolen pacifier. Her adventure brings her face-to-face with young Padawans, Sith Lords, familiar droids, Rebel scum, and an ultimate battle against the Dark Side, in this original short celebrating the Star Wars galaxy.

I do recommend giving it a watch. The Force Awakens From its Nap was very cute. I’ve enjoyed many Star Wars parodies. We have received them from other animated series like Family Guy and The Simpsons before. Additionally, Disney owns both properties now so maybe more content like this is to come.

Disney+ also released the first episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch for May 4th. The show is about a unique squad of clones working together in the aftermath of the Clone Wars. The Bad Batch characters are Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Echo.
