We are in a post-Avengers: Endgame world now. That film changed the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it and saw many of its veteran members die, retire, or head off-world. So who will take their place? The Young Avengers? Why not?
It’s not hard to imagine Earth’s next Mightiest Heroes being led by Spider-Man, especially after the events of Far From Home, with ranks filled out by the likes of Iron Heart, Kate Bishop (or Hawkeye’s MCU daughter in that role), Iron Lad (although I think the name would be different), and Ms. Marvel to name a few. Who else could join? Oh yeah, Cassie Lang as Stature or Stinger!

The young Cassie grew up during the Blip (see Far From Home for context) and is now played by Emma Fuhrmann (Avengers: Endgame, Blended). She recently spoke with ComicBook.com on a whole list of topics about her character and research she did for Endgame despite only having two scenes. There was an interesting answer to the question about her character’s future in the MCU:
“I can’t say, you know. They’re [Marvel] very secretive, but from my research, I know that in the comics Cassie becomes Stature and Stinger in Young Avengers and that would be very cool.”
Not exactly setting the rumor mill on fire, but she does seem to hint there may have been discussions about Cassie in the future. She doesn’t say “I don’t know” or “No one has told me” she specifically says “I can’t say.” I could be reading too much into it, but…
In the comics, Cassie has been a hero under the names of Stature and Stinger. These alter egos use the same tech that her father does to grow and shrink while the Stinger version uses powers from the Wasp too.
