The Jason Momoa Frosty The Snowman Announcement Was A Distraction From Ray Fisher?

So, Jason Momoa won’t be playing Frosty the Snowman?

The case of Ray Fisher against Warner Bros. just keeps getting more and more interesting. Fisher has been pretty darn public about his gripes with Joss Whedon along with producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Fisher has alleged through various tweets and videos that Whedon was abusive during the reshoots on Justice League. He also accuses the aforementioned producers of enabling Whedon during the process. In a recent Instagram post, he even implied that the studio was willing to throw Whedon and Berg under the bus so long as Johns was left unscathed.

Throughout all this, Warner Bros. has been mostly silent, save for one instance where they attempted to discredit Fisher by stating he was not cooperating with investigators. However, if we are to believe the word of Jason Momoa, it sounds like Warner Bros. may have actively been working to cover up this entire ordeal.

Momoa, who plays Aquaman in Justice League, recently broke his silence on the whole ordeal through an Instagram post.

“THIS S**T HAS TO STOP AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT @ray8fisher AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO EXPERIENCED WHAT HAPPEN UNDER THE WATCH OF @wbpictures NEEDS PROPER INVESTIGATION I just think it’s f**ked up that people released a fake Frosty announcement without my permission to try to distract from Ray Fisher speaking up about the shitty way we were treated on Justice League reshoots,” Momoa wrote on the social media platform.

He concluded: “Serious stuff went down. It needs to be investigated and people need to be held accountable. #IStandWithRayFisher”

So, right off the bat, it is clear that Momoa supports Fisher. Based on the all-caps nature of almost half of the post, as well as the strong language, it’s clear he’s also incensed at how this whole thing has shaken out. But that isn’t the most interesting part to me. His mentioning of the “fake Frosty announcement” caught my eye.

As it turns out, July 1 is when Fisher first made accusations against Whedon. Yes, two days prior to that, he retracted his support of Whedon, but on July 1, he actually made his first legit statements against Whedon on social media. And on that same day, Deadline reported that Jason Momoa would be voicing Frosty the Snowman in a live-action film.

Perhaps not coincidentally, the film was said to be produced by Jon Berg and Geoff Johns.

Now, there are still a lot of unknowns. We don’t know if this movie is actually happening. If it is, we don’t know if Momoa was in talks at all, or if maybe Warner Bros. jumped the gun on an announcement. Regardless, it does seem apparent that Momoa believes the announcement was an attempt to distract from Fisher’s accusations.

In all honesty, I’m very interested to see if this is a real movie at all, or if Warner Bros. with an intentionally random-sounding announcement in hopes that it would take eyes away from Fisher. The fact that both were posted on the same day is indeed suspect.

Of course, we will have to see what actually comes out in the future. Were it not for Momoa stating that the Frosty news was fake, I would be classifying this under conspiracy theory B.S. I’ll admit, it all sounds really bizarre and paranoid, but there does seem to be an air of credibility. For now, all we can do is wait. An investigation is ongoing, and Fisher has made it clear that he will not let this get swept under the rug. Regardless of what happens, I’m sure we’ll be hearing more.
