I think most of us would agree that Kingsman: The Secret Service was an unexpected gem. Its ability to tell a great story, give us a fight scene, and just show us a great time was a feeling I’ll never forget, and although its sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle was a disappointment, I was willing to give it another crack to finish up the tale.

What I didn’t expect was for them to put the threequel on hold in favor of a prequel set around the time of World War I. Furthermore, a film that looked a great deal more grounded than the mainline franchise.

The film had a showing at this year’s New York Comic-Con, and the studio has since released a new batch of hi-res images, including one on-set image with the director and cast.

I’ll admit, there isn’t really anything new in terms of content. We’ve seen a great deal more in the trailers, but these images are still pretty great to look at.
