The Lego Movie 2 Gets A Brand New Poster, Trailer Hits Tomorrow

The Lego Movie was without a doubt a runaway success story, I remember being quite surprised how much I enjoyed it when I took my then younger Son to see it. It was only a matter of time before we got The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. The movie won’t be released by Warner Bros until February 8, 2019, so we still have a bit of a wait. This time directing duties are undertaken by Mike Mitchell (Trolls). Former directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller wrote the initial draft of the sequel from a story by Jared Stern, Michelle Morgan, and the directing duo themselves. The latest re-write of the script was penned by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Lord and Miller will, however, serve as producers alongside Dan Lin and Roy Lee who produced The Lego Movie.

Now we have a new poster which brings all the original stars back together in its own Lego way:

We also learned from the outlet that the first trailer for The Lego Movie 2 is due hit the web tomorrow, so stay tuned to LRM for more details.

I’ll be interested to see if they can capture the same magic the original had, or whether it will be just another generic Lego movie. What do you think of the poster and will you be seeing The Lego Movie 2 in theaters? Share your thoughts in the usual place down below.
