The Mandalorian: Disney+ Releases A Cobb Vanth Character Poster

The Mandalorian

SPOILER WARNING: THIS PIECE CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE MANDALORIAN CHAPTER 9: THE MARSHALL

Disney+’s The Mandalorian has offered fans a variety of surprises in the form of character reveals and easter eggs. Who will ever forget the moment that we first laid eyes on the small character that the world knows as Baby Yoda. Disney has been really good at keeping their Mandalorian reveals hush-hush, this is no different in season two.

Last Friday’s The Mandalorian second season premiere introduced us to a new character in the Star Wars universe. Timothy Olyphant made his Star Wars debut as Cobb Vanth. With a couple of days on their streaming service, Disney+ has revealed his character poster. You can check it out below!

As you can see Cobb Vanth is wearing the iconic Boba Fett armor. As we saw in the season premiere he picked this up from some Jawas. He used it to protect the settlement of Mos Pelgo on Tatooine. The Mandalorian was there to pick up the armor to put it in its proper resting place. Cobb and Mando make a deal for the armor, but that includes getting rid of the massive Krayt Dragon beast.

The second season of The Mandalorian‘s premiere episode “Chapter 9: The Marshall” was a solid start. I am enjoying the (dare I say) Star Trek-like episodic feel of The Mandalorian where a lot of the episode seems to be able to stand on their own. I also must say that I enjoyed seeing the settlement of Mos Pelgo work alongside Tusken Raiders. Hopefully, this isn’t the last we have seen of Cobb Vanth, and given the poster, it’s safe to say that we’ll see more of him.

Disney+’s The Mandalorian season one and the premiere episode of season two is now streaming on their service. They drop a new episode every Friday.
