Four days. Count ‘em. Four days until Disney+ hits North American users, and with it will come The Mandalorian, the first live-action series to hit from the Star Wars franchise. It is indeed a momentous occasion for us hardcore fans who have been waiting for years how this series would translate to the small screen.

And what a way to go. With The Mandalorian, we’ll be getting a Spaghetti Western set in space. I’m expecting violence and bounty hunters, and based on the trailers so far, it will be delivering that in spades. But if you wanted a bit more, Disney has released short, one-sentence synopses for the first three episodes of the show.

“Chapter 1”: A Mandalorian bounty hunter tracks a target for a well-paying client.

“Chapter 2”: Target in-hand, The Mandalorian must now contend with scavengers

“Chapter 3”: The battered Mandalorian returns to his client for reward.

Interestingly enough, these first three episodes look to be one little arc for the series. One chapter has him tracking the target, one has him traveling back with the target. One has him returning his target for the reward. Given the whole structure of story, I can’t help but wonder if something will go wrong with that handoff, leading to the main, overarching plot.

Do I smell a remake of The Transporter starring Jason Statham? Will this target end up thrusting the Mandalorian into a mess he didn’t want to be involved in? I really hope so.
