Before we get into the heart of this article, let me make this perfectly clear: everyone at LRM Online is fully aware that the tiny little creature is not Yoda. We’re fully aware that the events in The Mandalorian takes place after Episode VI, well after the passing of the actual Yoda. However, since there is no detailed information regarding his species and its origin, we’re going with Baby Yoda—unless of course, you’d prefer Baby Pubert, which we could look into if you’d like.

With that said, last Friday was the explosive third episode in the popular Disney+ Star Wars series. Titled The Sin, the episode continued the Western feel the series emits with an action-packed rescue mission taken by our lead character, referred to as “Mando” by Greef Carga, played by legendary actor Carl Weathers. In a recent interview with Variety discussing the series, Weathers touched on the welcome addition of the tiny 50-year-old “toddler” co-star and its strong appeal to a younger audience.
“I think we’re going to see a lot of that character in everyday life. It’s so loveable for the little ones, and also it has no defined sex or race yet to it. It has so many possibilities around what it could be.”
The Mandalorian has enjoyed favorable reviews from fans and critics alike, many saying it’s one of the best Star Wars stories in years. With Jon Favreau creating the series, visionary direction from the likes of Deborah Chow, and a wide mix of casting—which includes Pedro Pascal, Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Emily Swallow, Taika Waititi, John Beasley, Omid Abtahi, Weathers, as well as still-to-come Carla Gugino and Brendan Wayne—the series keeps the viewer’s attention with amazing set pieces and intriguing characters. The addition of Baby Yoda is not only an interesting twist in this bounty hunter’s life, but also a genius marketing decision.
So, who’s getting a Baby Yoda for the holidays?
