The Barside Buzz says that The Marvels had a test screening this weekend. Now we have reports that The Marvels will have SPOILER show up to tease a Young Avengers project in a post-credit scene. Before I mention the name, one final warning for anyone who may be spoiler averse. I can’t say this is 100% legit, but this is a rumor that I’ve now seen form a few sources this weekend, so it probably is.
Potential post-credit SPOILERS for The Marvels!
According to the rumors, The Marvels will see Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) show up and meet Kamala Khan. As far as I have heard, whilst trying to avoid story spoilers, this is a big tease that Young Avengers is definitely happening at some point.. Although to be fair, unless you’ve not watched any Marvel content since Endgame, you should already see those teases for the future.
After test screenings, we tend to get plot leaks. Over on Reddit there is a huge plot summary, which I have had to try and avoid whilst covering this small point. My policy is no major plot spoilers before a release. However, the link above does have a detailed plot summary of the movie, I don’t know if it’s legit, but it probably is, so be warned! That includes the other, more plot specific, post-credit scene.
The leak says that Kamala Khan is narrating within the movie and at the end we find out its Kate Bishop she’s been talking to, purple suit and all. Kamala seems to be trying to recruit Kate, Nick Fury style, and mentions to Kate that Ant-Man has a daughter also.
Despite previously saying there was no Young Avengers planned, it is clear there is. This scene could be removed I guess before The Marvels releases? However, if it’s not, surely Disney can’t keep denying their doing Young Avengers?

I don’t know if we are getting a movie or a Disney+ series, but you can bet your wages that one of them is happening. Personally I think a Young Avengers TV series would fit better than a movie, at least to begin with. A show gives you time to meet the characters and for then to get to know each other etc. I mean we all know they won’t work well together to begin with and then form into great team to save the day at the end because that’s just the formula for this type of story. Therefore a TV show will allow more time to really get into the characters than a movie would.
Just my own thoughts, so your guess is as good as mine. Young Avengers is coming though folks.
