The New Charlie’s Angels Trailer Is…Uh, A Thing

So, I don’t mind the idea of a female-driven spy movie, and I actually would like to see Elizabeth Banks behind the camera of more movies. That being said, in spite of the solid cast, I’m guessing that this new take on Charlie’s Angels just isn’t for me. The first trailer didn’t do much for me, and this second one…yeah, not much either.

Sony Pictures just released a second trailer for the female-driven flick, and while it doesn’t look awful, its brand of action and badass feels geared toward someone different. But hey, if the reviews are solid, maybe I’ll give it a shot. Otherwise, soft pass for me.

Below is the official synopsis for Charlie’s Angels:

“In Banks’ bold vision, Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska are working for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose security and investigative agency has expanded internationally. With the world’s smartest, bravest, and most highly trained women all over the globe, there are now teams of Angels guided by multiple Bosleys taking on the toughest jobs everywhere. The screenplay is by Elizabeth Banks from a story by Evan Spiliotopoulos and David Auburn.”
