The MUBI series has an episode about a couple’s relationship that celebrates New Year’s for 10 years, showcasing the rise and fall of their relationship.

About the series:

The New Years from César Award-winning director Rodrigo Sorogoyen (The Beasts), follows Ana and Óscar from their first meeting, on the night they both turn thirty, through ten New Year’s Eves. She lives in a shared flat, dislikes her job, and changes friends frequently. He’s a doctor with his life sorted—until they meet and fall in love. Ten consecutive years, with each episode capturing a single night that reveals how love evolves, the series is an honest examination of modern commitment and choosing someone, year after year.

The series stars Iria Del Río (Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End) and Francesco Carril (Three Goodbyes).

Here is the synopsis for episode 104:

Óscar and Ana have been living together for six months and are excited about Ana’s possible move to Edinburgh—a change she hopes to make with Óscar by her side. That night, they host Ana’s parents, Isabel and Fernando, and Óscar’s mother, Carmen, for New Year’s Eve dinner. But when Carmen suggests inviting her ex-husband Eduardo to join them, what was meant to be warm family evening takes an unexpected turn.

The new episode airs tomorrow, December 17, on MUBI.
