The Orville Season 2 ‘Welcome To The Galaxy’ Promo Hits

The fall season of TV shows may be winding down as the holidays approach, but there are a couple shows out there that are picking things up as others peter out. One such show is FOX’s The Orville, the slightly more comedic take on the Star Trek formula, created by Seth MacFarlane. The next season of the show hits on December 30, and to celebrate, we have a new promo!

Sadly, if you were hoping for any more real details for the upcoming season, this promo doesn’t do a lot for us. I’m expecting it to be more of the same as it was in the first season, with the episodes being largely standalone with a few overarching narrative strings in between. As such, it’s hard to really pull any real details from this apart from “more alien stuff” going on.

But this ain’t a bad thing. I’m not really a standard Trek fan, but this show manages to be a nice difference-splitter in terms thoughtful meditation and silly office humor. It’s not really funny, but it’s nowhere near as dry as some of the more standard Trek shows. So for someone like me, it’s just perfect.
