According to the latest Barside Buzz, and a source I do trust, The Rings of Power Season 2 has been feeding fake leaks to insiders about the show. The claim comes from Fellowship of Fans. Not only do they have like a 95% hit rate with leaks for this show, they are also pretty humble people who don’t trade on leaks alone. However, they say they’ve received information that Amazon’s Rings of Power production teams have been feeding fake leaks out to some insiders.
The group says they will be fact checking all their own leaks for Season 2. However, I am confident it’s not their leaks that were the issue, and it seems so are they.

As you can say FoF claim this was a targeted plant to put out false information and try to catch leakers.

So can we trust any Rings of Power Season 2 leaks? Maybe not as much as before, however I think I know what false information was put out there. Some weeks ago TORN put out some quite bizarre rumors. I did not cover them because as soon as I read them I thought there’s no way these can be true. If they were true, this was turning into a bloody butchering of Tolkien’s Universe. However, a lot of people did buy them and the outlet stuck to their claims of solid information.
Now this is pure guess work for me and no offence meant to anyone if I am not correct. I guess only those inside the Tolkien leaks community can be accurate about any of this. I just read the rumors and share the ones I think are most likely with you readers.
Still, it’s not every day a studio runs a false flag operation on leaks, so it’s newsworthy for sure. Ahem, ‘For all of them were deceived, in secret a new script was made in the heart of Amazon and into it the showrunners poured their…’ You get the idea.
