The Rings Of Power Teaser Trailer To Be Shown At Super Bowl

We heard some rumors, but they are rumors no more as Tom Bombadil is confirmed to be in The Rings of Power Season 2 played by Rory Kinnear.

According to a report from THR, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power teaser trailer to be shown at Super Bowl. Since then Amazon has officially confirmed a teaser for the half-time show at Super Bowl LVI this Sunday, February 13th. We here at LRM have been covering all the news for this show. Additionally the various rumors and leaks surrounding what we will see in this version of Middle-earth. For those unaware what this show will cover, here is the basic synopsis from Amazon.

The Rings of Power brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared reemergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

Currently we have no idea exactly what to expect, though the official Instagram posts did say a teaser trailer. Therefore we could get less than 30 seconds realistically, or we could get more. There is no real definition when it comes to teaser trailers so you can never tell for sure. It could be a small tease of a scene from an episode. Or, could take the form of a series of flashing frames showing little glimpses of what to expect. Again, there is no formula.

I don’t think we will get  full trailer until the middle to end of Summer. The Rings of Power premiere is on September 2nd on Amazon Prime. Until then I could see Amazon release a few different teasers just to build hype from here to there. That’s still around 8 months away which sucks fo5r a fan like me.

I guess we’ll talk again on Monday. Hopefully by then we’ll be able to upload the trailer as it will have gone online. If there’s anything worth discussing, I’ll be sure to be covering it.
