X-Men ’97 Producers Reveal Episode Count And Release Window

I don't normally review animated series, but I feel a connection to this one, so the question is, is X-Men 97' any good?

X-Men ’97 producers reveal episode count and release window in a recent interview. Husband and wife team Eric and Julia Lewald, two of the creators behind the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series, are back for the revival and recently spoke with Justin Underwood on the YouTube interview below.

For those that do not have time to watch the video here are the two important quotes.

“They want it to be an extension of X-Men: The Animated Series,” Eric Lewald said. “Whoever it is doing this new show is going to make it their own, no matter who is involved in it. There is great love and affection and respect from an entire group of people that are doing this show, starting at the top with Beau DeMayo, who’s the showrunner.”

Lewald added, “I believe they’re looking at 10 episodes for the first season that’s going to come out mid-next year. They’re starting it soon after ours ended… ‘Where is [Professor X?]'”

Season 1 will be 10 episodes and it is expected to be ready around Summer of 2023 on Disney+. As a kid I didn’t really read X-Men comics. Therefore the only character I knew was Wolverine from his appearance in other titles like Spider-Man. So whilst I was already a teenager when X-Men: The Animated Series began I fell in love with the X-Men for the first time on that show. I’m definitely going to be curiously checking this out next year when it drops. However, I would also say my tastes have changed quite a bit in the last 25 years. Therefore will I actually like the show to continue as it was, or am I looking for something more?
