Disney’s acquisition of most of 20th Century Fox had tons of repercussions that are starting to be felt throughout the industry, and a lot of our own headlines predictably revolved around properties like the X-Men finally returning home after all these years, we can’t forget about another property joining the Disney family in a big way. The long-running animated series The Simpsons.
Of course, The Simpsons has become a huge staple of American TV, and their irreverent episodes have charmed millions and millions of viewers worldwide. But would it lose its edge in the transition? Disney+ has released a new Simpsons video where they reluctantly join the House of Mouse.

In a fashion true to their name, we get a fun little exchange between Homer and Bart, and as soon as the camera flashes, Bart has pulled down his pants and mooned the audiences. In another nice piece of self-referential material, the Disney+ logo then scrambles to cover up Bart’s butt.
It’s stupid, it’s fun, and while it is a bit self-aggrandizing, it’s also a bit self-deprecating, so I’ll take it.
