Seriously, what better pairing is there in TV than Supernatural and Scooby-Doo? And no, “anything else” isn’t an answer (at least not one I want to hear). Regardless of what you, me, Supernatural fans, or Scooby-Doo fans want, this crossover is happening next month.
However, if you happen to be attending PaleyFest, it will be coming a bit earlier. According to EW, the crossover episode, which has the best title in the world, “Scoobynatural,” will hit PaleyFest on March 20. Following the screening, members of the cast and creative team will have a panel, where audiences can pick their brains as to why in the hell this happened. For the rest of us plebes, we’ll have to wait an extra nine days, and enjoy the episode on March 29.

So what can we expect from this episode in terms of content? While both Supernatural and Scooby-Doo feature mystery-solving teams, their tones aren’t exactly compatible. Scooby-Doo is more comedy-focused, whereas the Supernatural series skews more adult in terms of violence and themes.
Co-showrunner Andrew Dabb assured the outlet that the special will be more adult than your average episode of Scooby-Doo. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to see Scooby come face-to-face to some honest-to-goodness gore.
