The Tick Returns This April on Amazon Prime Video

“Yesterday you bested your nemesis. Today you wake anew ready begin the heroes way.”

That’s right chums! The Amazon Prime Original series The Tick is back for a second season. With that said Amazon Prime Video has released a new trailer for the series which you can check out above. As well as new promo art that you can see below featuring the Tick himself, Peter Serafinowicz, and Arthur, Griffin Newman, ready for action.

As you can see by the trailer above defeating The Terror has had some interesting effects on both Arthur and their City. The Tick has somehow now convinced Arthur to be a hero, but they aren’t the only ones who are looking to protect the City from villainy. Check out the synopsis for the series below.

In its second season, Tick and Arthur have freed the City from The Terror — now they must defend it from new villains and old enemies. That is if they can convince AEGIS, the government agency in charge of superhero regulation, that they deserve the job. But now that the City is ‘safe enough to protect’ Tick and Arthur begin to see they’ve got competition…

Joining Serafinowicz and Newman will be Valorie Curry as Dot Everest, Brendan Hines as Superian, Yara Martinez as Ms. Lint, Scott Speiser as Overkill, John Hodgman as Hobbs, Ty Rathbone as Marc Kudisch, Cle Bennett as Sage, Adam Henry Garcia as Bronze Star, Julian Cihi as Edgelord, Steven Ogg as Flexon and Alan Tudyk as the voice of Dangerboat.

I really enjoyed the first season as it was a good change of pace from most of the superhero series that are out there. What will make this second season better is that they will be releasing all ten episodes of the season, unlike the first season where we got one half in 2017 and the other half in 2018.

Will you be joining Arthur and The Tick on their heroes journey? Let us know in the comment section below!

Amazon Prime Video’s The Tick kicks off it’s second season on Friday, April 5th, 2019.
