Today Netflix is giving us a good look at what is to come in season three of their hit series, The Umbrella Academy. At the end of season two, we saw that our heroes had been transported to a different reality. One where their dad is still alive but the Umbrella Academy doesn’t exist. Instead, we meet the Sparrow Academy. Below is the trailer for the new season that is set to premiere on the streamer on June 22nd, 2022. Check it out!

Why is one earth not enough for franchises these days? Flash is going into the multiverse, Dr. Strange is in the multiverse, and now the Umbrella Academy venture into a different world. How will they deal with seeing their father leading a completely different team? But one thing is for sure after watching this trailer, our team of misfits will be causing all sorts of trouble. Even the world-ending kind of trouble that we are used to seeing.
Here is the synopsis for season three of The Umbrella Academy
After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns.
Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own – and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?
The universe as we know it is once again in trouble starting on June 22nd, 2022 exclusively on Netflix.
