The Volume technology is coming to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania! Director, Peyton Reed, tweeted out ‘Welcome to The Volume’ and added an image to show what the set looks like. StageCraft’s The Volume was famously used for Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and we have known it will be used on Quantumania for some time. Though of course this shows the tech in action for itself. Check it out.

There is no doubt that the technology of The Volume is changing the way TV shows are made. If this technology was commonly used during the late 2000s, Game of Thrones could have saved a lot of money. Game of Thrones started filming in 2009 and in 10 different countries during its 8 seasons. As a result, the series was very expensive. Lookin at some of the shows currently being put together, I’m betting a jealous eye might be glanced towards this tech elsewhere.

Reed directed two episodes of The Mandalorian for Season 2 so he is familiar with this shooting technology. He’s also not the only director from Marvel that has and will be using this technology. Taika Waititi also directed an episode from season 1 of The Mandalorian and will be using this technology for Thor: Love and Thunder.
We will see Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly return as Ant-Man and The Wasp respectively. In addition, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will be back as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be in theaters on February 17, 2023.
