The Witcher is hitting our televisions, cell phones, computers, and tablets (do people still use those?) on December 20th. The Netflix series is based on a set of books that were famously made into a beloved video game trilogy of the same name. We recently received a new trailer for the first season of the show, but it seems the showrunner is already planning for season two, and three, and four…

Lauren Hissrich spoke to SFX Magazine (via PC Games N) about her plans:
“I’ve [mapped out stories] for seven seasons. Right now it’s just about, ‘how do you set up stories that really capture audiences for years at a time?’ The worst thing we could do is put all of our energies just into season one, and not be thinking about where these characters can grow to.”
As for all of these characters we’re about to meet, she says they may not all be alive to grow. Regardless of how long the show lasts, or who lives through to the end, this writer is interested in this first season. Let’s hope it’s as entertaining as the latest trailer makes it seem.
