The Witcher Season 2 wrap video below teases what to expect from the sophomore season of Netflix’s fantasy show. Season 2 wrapped towards the end of last week and this weekend we were treated to a small wrap video hosted by showrunner Lauren Hissrich. Check it out.
The video begins with lead star Henry Cavill thanking the crew for a successful shoot. Bearing in mind the shot for The Witcher Season 2 had a huge break for COVID and even had to recast roles as a result, it was not plain sailing. The Witcher Season 2 will deal predominantly with Witcher source book Blood of the Elves, plus a little more as said by Hissrich.
If you check the related section below you will see some evidence of characters who do not appear in Blood of the Elves, but following book Time of Contempt. Whether The Wild Hunt appears merely as a season ending tease of what is to come is unknown. In the book, Ciri has a vision of being chased by The Wild Hunt, and of course, that’s who we saw in those set photos.
I enjoyed The Witcher though I had a few criticisms as well. I’m still looking forward to seeing The Witcher Season 2 though. I had also read the books that covered Season 1, whereas from here on in, I only know the vague story. So as Hissrich says, look forward to a huge cast of characters and a ton of creepy monsters. Sounds good to me.
As of right now we will don’t have a release date for The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix. Post production will now begin on the show, but I would guess we will see The Witcher Season 2 before the end of this year on Netflix. Can’t wait.
