Oh Kevin Smith, how I love you. Let me count the ways… Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Stike Back, Clerks 2… You get the point, I love this guy’s movies and my favorite is Clerks 2. The cool thing about that movie is that it takes place in a fast-food restaurant named Mooby’s. Mooby is a cartoon character that exists in Kevin’s film world and first appeared in 1999’s Dogma and played on the religious themes of that movie. Now we know that Mooby’s is coming back for Smith’s upcoming Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
This video covers a bit of the history that Mooby and the restaurant have played in Smith’s films as well as giving us some behind the scenes shots that include Smith’s wife, who appeared in a supporting role for the original Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. She also played a big roll in Clerks 2 and this makes me wonder what character she will play in this upcoming film. I don’t know about you, but I am totally stoked about this movie. This Road to Reboot series has been fun to watch and I encourage you all to go check them out.
