While much has been made about the lack of compelling villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a lot of intrigue began to build when it was announced that Cate Blanchett would be playing the Goddess of Death, Hela, in THOR: RAGNAROK. If anyone has the talent to make for an interesting villain, it’s screen veteran Blanchett- who brings serious clout with her.

Until now, we haven’t had a chance to see the actress in action on the THOR: RAGNAROK set. That changed early this morning when some pictures and video from the Australian set of the film hit the net. While she isn’t wearing the iconic headpiece associated with the character, you can scope out the actress filming a sequence on some Asgardian stairs.

Here are some pictures extracted from a brief video taken from the THOR: RAGNAROK set:

There’s also this video below, which purports to be a glimpse of Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, practicing a stunt. It’s very hard to substantiate whether or not that’s actually Hemsworth, but give it a gander anyway.

THOR: RAGNAROK comes out next year, two weeks before JUSTICE LEAGUE, on November 3.
