In a recent interview with THR Tim Roth talks Abomination in She-Hulk. The character of Abomination already made his return to the MCU in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I don’t see that movie till Friday, so I cannot say personally whether Roth’s voice was used, but that’s what I’ve seen reported. However we have known for a little time now that Abomination will show up again in She-Hulk, and right now we don’t know if we will see Tim Roth again, or it’s only mo-cap and voice work? However Roth is definitely back and was asked why he decided to return to the MCU as Abomination in She-Hulk.
“I did The Incredible Hulk [playing Emil Blonsky, aka Abomination] years ago, just because I thought my kids would be embarrassed by it. I did it for them and I really enjoyed making it. So when they came to me and said: “We’re adapting the She-Hulk thing. Can you come back as that character again?” I was like, sure. It should be fun. I was very surprised though because it was difficult at first. It was only when Mark Ruffalo came in to shoot his stuff [reprising his role as Bruce Banner] that I went: “Oh, that’s how you do it! With a sense of humor!”

No real clues there to why we will be seeing Abomination back, nor whether we will ever see him de-hulked again. In the comics from my era, Abomination was stuck like that permanently. I just assumed the same would be the case for this MCU version. However, if that’s the case, do they really need Roth back other than some voice over work? I guess maybe that depends on what kind of role Abomination plays and that’s not something we can say yet.
