Titan Comics To Publish Comic Based On Hit Game “Wakfu”

Titan Comics has announced today that it secured the licensing agreement to publish Wakfu comics- based on the international game.

With a strong team leading the charge it is sure to be a success.  Writing done by Kahel with art from Mig (Shak Shaka, Le Messagar) and coloured by Saturax (DOFUS Monster Wa Wabbit).

With the growing popularity of video-game based comics this seems like a great match between companies.  With a target audience age group between 8-16 years old this comic series is sure to do well.  Let us know in the comment section if you plan on picking up this new series.

Released by Ankama Games in 2012, Wakfu is a tactical turn-based multiplayer online role playing game. The game takes place hundreds of years after Ankama’s previous game, DOFUS. As the game popularity grew, a spin-off game, Islands of Wakfu, was released on Xbox Live Arcade in 2011 and most recently, Wakfu Raiders app debuted on iOS and Android in June this year!

An animated television series based on the game began airing from October 30, 2008. The series has also spawned a trading card game, a board game and now comics.

The first series will hit comic book stores and digital comics on November 11.
