Titans Gets A Batch Of Character Teasers

The day where DC Universe’s first big live-action series hits is quickly drawing near. For the first time, we will see the characters Beast Boy, Raven, and Starfire in physical form, and Robin will have received a much-needed update from his Batman and Robin days. Thus far, the trailers for the show have given us a good amount to chew on for each character, but DC Universe has since given us a great deal more — 30 seconds for each character, in fact — in a series of teasers.

Check out the teasers below!

Robin

The Robin teaser is an interesting one, because it shows a disenfranchised Robin who, after admiring Bruce Wayne, had to leave for fear of becoming too much like him. I suppose we know where he gets his “f**k Batman” tendencies from, eh?

Raven

Raven’s is a cool one, as it feels like something straight out of a horror film. We have a young girl whose mother told her she didn’t believe in monsters, but of course, our young heroine thinks herself as a monster. Plenty of room for conflict there.

Beast Boy

We saw this one last night, but if you missed it, here it is again, showcasing Beast Boy’s lighthearted personality (he even comes with his own theme song!). Every team needs a comedic relief, and in the Titans’ case, Beast Boy is their guy.

Starfire

Finally, we get the show’s most controversial character, Starfire. Her outfit is the cartooniest of the group, and while I’d like to say this tease got me intrigued…hers is ironically the least intriguing of the group’s. We get no motivation, little personality, and only the smallest sliver of a backstory. I guess that’s what the rest of the show is for.
