DC Universe’s Titans, like many other superhero stories, is one about a bunch of rejects coming together to become something bigger and better. It may be cliché, but it works damn well when executed well, like many great tropes out there. For this latest teaser for Titans, they really lean into that aspect.

The teaser is actually incredibly cool. Made up of dark ink and cloud splotches that show off Robin’s background (you know, dead circus family, Batman, and the like — that’s right, it even features Batman). It highlights the anger Robin feels and how he became violence. Later on, he teamed up with other outcasts and criminals to form the Titans.

It doesn’t show off anything new, and this is something they very well could have released before the first episode even aired, but given that they’re going for the long-term approach to DC Universe, it makes sense. It’s probably smart to churn out trailers that don’t spoil things for fans so that they can hop on the DC Universe bandwagon when it suits them, right?

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti, Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven and others.
