In any assassination attempt, make sure all these victims are dead. Otherwise, they can be back with a vengeance as in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse.

The new Amazon Prime Video film stars Michael B. Jorden as John Clark, who is in the espionage universe of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.

Here’s the official synopsis:

An elite Navy SEAL uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife in Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, the explosive origin story of action hero John Clark. When a squad of Russian soldiers kills his family in retaliation for his role in a top-secret op, Senior Chief John Kelly (Jordan) pursues the assassins at all costs. Joining forces with a fellow SEAL and a shadowy CIA agent, Kelly’s mission unwittingly exposes a covert plot that threatens to engulf the U.S. and Russia in an all-out war. Torn between personal honor and loyalty to his country, Kelly must fight his enemies without remorse if he hopes to avert disaster and reveal the powerful figures behind the conspiracy.

The rest of the cast includes Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lauren London, Brett Gelman, Jacob Scipio, Jack Kesy, Colman Domingo, Todd Lassance, Cam Gigandet, Luke Mitchell, and Guy Pearce. Stefano Sollima directed the movie from a script written by Taylor Sheridan and Will Staples.

With Michael B. Jordan’s acting and Tom Clancy’s story, it’s the right combination of intrigue and action for Without Remorse. I’m glad they’re expanding the universe to cover characters and not focus on Jack Ryan all the time. Better put this film on my watch list.

Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse streams on Prime Video starting April 30.
