Last August, it was widely reported that Mission: Impossible 6 would face delays thanks to star Tom Cruise breaking his ankle while on set.
Well, it looks like Cruise is back in action. In a new batch of photos from US Weekly, Cruise is up to his old habits again: running down streets, jumping out of windows, and endangering every production he is in.

All we can say is: it’s about time. While, of course, we want to make sure Cruise is safe while on set, the film has a July 27, 2018 street date. Should Paramount actually want to keep that date, they certainly would have to continue with production as early as possible.
Given that Cruise is back on set, we’re sure the production has moved into double-time. While this isn’t confirmed, the film likely took care of as much production as they could without Cruise before jumping into this, allowing them to be as efficient as possible with their shooting schedule.
We’ll see if it all moves fast enough to make the original release date, but until we hear otherwise, it sounds like we’ll be seeing Ethan Hunt very soon.
