Tom Hiddleston has given some comments, albeit carefully, about his role in December’s Avengers: Doomsday and admits he’s important. The last we saw Loki at the close of Loki Season 2 he had given up his old life to become the God of Stories, the central branch holding the Multiverse together.
Speaking with Josh Horowitz recently in an interview Hiddleston was asked if Loki will have as many deaths as Patrick Stewart’s Professor X by the end of this Saga?
“I’m not as well-versed in the Patrick Stewart lore. Look, if I keep going down the path of the end of this sentence, I will find myself revealing things that…it depends what you…I’m going to stop. I have to stop.”

However Hiddleston did admit it’s obvious his character is very important to the plot of Avengers: Doomsday.
“Well, come on. I’m holding the timelines together. We live in a multiverse now, I think. And Loki is the God of Stories. So, there it is.”
I know there are a lot of genuine spoilers out there for this film folks, but I won’t get into them here. However, it is clear Loki is important to Doomsday and perhaps Secret Wars as well?
Avengers: Doomsday will be out in the U.K on the 16th of December we just found out this week. So I may even have a review for this one up before it goes on general release in the US on the 18th.
