First they took our American superheroes, and now they’re after our country music legends, too? British thesp Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers) is set to play American music icon Hank Williams in the biopic I Saw The Light. The film will be directed by Marc Abraham (Flash of Genius), and will be based on Colin Escott’s “Hank Williams: The Biography.”
Hiddleston is best known for his work as Loki in the Marvel movies, but has also had diverse roles in films like War Horse, and Midnight in Paris directed by Steven Spielberg and Woody Allen, respectively. The actor has all ready taken to twitter to give us our first official glimpse of him as Williams- the singer-songwriter responsible for classics such as “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Hey, Good Lookin’,” and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.”
