Tom & Jerry Trailer For Warner Bros.’ Feature Film

Tom & Jerry

Tom & Jerry are timeless. The destructive duo created by Willam Hanna and Joseph Barbera in 1940 is still causing havoc today. If you think about it, that is a cat and mouse chasing each other for 80 years! Today Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Animation have shared the first official trailer for Tom & Jerry’s next big adventure. So big in fact that they are going to have to take it to the big screen in the self-titled film, Tom & Jerry. Check it out below!

As we can see that cat and mouse haven’t missed a step! Taking their chase into the real world. Here is the synopsis for the film provided by Warner Bros. Pictures:

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him, in director Tim Story’s “Tom and Jerry.” The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding, and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them.

An eye-popping blend of classic animation and live-action, Tom and Jerry’s new adventure stakes new ground for the iconic characters and forces them to do the unthinkable… work together to save the day.

Tom and Jerry Cast & Crew

This film stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Rob Delaney, Colin Jost, and Ken Jeong. It’s directed by Tim Story and produced by Chris DeFaria, and written by Kevin Costello. Serving as executive producers are Story, Adam Goodman, Steven Harding, Sam Register, Jesse Ehrman, and Allison Abbate. The creative filmmaking team includes director of photography Alan Stewart, production designer James Hambidge, editor Peter S. Elliot, and costume designer Alison McCosh. The music is composed by Christopher Lennertz.

This film looks like a lot of fun! I think that mixing in live-actors with the two classic animated cat and mouse are going to give them a different look than what we are used to for a better feature. Then again for a film that is going to try and make it into the theaters next year. It needs some actual stars to draw people in. While not an Oscar contender it definitely will be a good time with the family!
