Toy Story 4 Superbowl TV Spot

Toy Story 4 is out on June 21 and yesterday we got another glimpse at the movie during the Superbowl. This latest spot shows Woody and Bo Peep awaiting the arrival of Buzz Lightyear at a carnival, but Buzz is instead trapped on a prize wall with new characters Duck and Bunny played by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, respectively.

The teaser is short and sweet, but introduces us once again to the trademark humor of this franchise as Duck and Bunny attempt to remove Buzz from the wall so he isn’t chosen before the pair are. Here is a previously released bit of information on why Woody and the gang are at this carnival.

“Woody’s journey in Toy Story 4 includes a visit to a carnival where he meets Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted by Woody and his friends, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”

And the official synopsis of the movie, again released previously.

Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.

Toy Story 3 for most fans felt like a great end to this franchise and my worry has always been that they make 1 film too many eventually. However, it all depends on the story and if Pixar feel they have a worthy story to tell here, then it will only add to the popular franchise.
