Trailer: Netflix’s Titan Has Humans Training To Leave Earth

First Interstellar, now this. For some reason, sci-fi filmmakers seem to be obsessed with the concept of leaving our Earth in the dust. At the beginning of the trailer for the new Netflix original film, The Titan, we see that Los Angeles has been officially declared uninhabitable.

In this world, virtually all of the world’s resources have been depleted, and in ten years, half the world will have starved to death. Naturally, this means that sticking around is only an option if humanity wants to die a slow and painful death, and that’s never our style. Interestingly enough, there is one place that could be fit to be humanity’s new home: the Saturn moon Titan.

Of course, it’s not as easy as flying to Titan, setting down roots, and going about your Titanic business. In order to survive the different world on Titan, humans will need to train hard to force themselves to evolve and live on this new “planet” of ours. But is the process to get there inhuman?

Below is the official synopsis for The Titan:

“In the near future, a military family uproot their lives so they can participate in a ground-breaking experiment to accelerate man’s genetic evolution. The goal? To relocate humanity to another planet and avoid extinction. Starring Sam Worthington, Taylor Schilling, Tom Wilkinson and Nathalie Emmanuel.”
